AG REPORTS STATE ARRESTS IN MAJOR ROUND-UP
FOR SUSPECTED DRUG DISTRIBUTION AND TRAFFICKING
(MONTGOMERY) – Attorney General Luther Strange reported 11 state arrests that
occurred as part of a recent state-federal and local raid of suspected drug trafficking and
distribution in West Alabama. These state charges are in addition to previously reported
arrests of other defendants on federal charges including money laundering, firearms
violations and drug crimes.
“The people of West Alabama are safer today as a result of this major round-up
of suspected dangerous criminals,” said Attorney General Strange. “I want to thank
those who partnered in this important operation. I am proud of what we have been able
to accomplish together. Working in a cooperative effort such as this makes our
prosecutions stronger and more effective. Together, we are sending a strong message
that these crimes will not be tolerated and that we stand steadfast to vigorously
investigate and prosecute these cases.”
These defendants were arrested on June 18 pursuant to state warrants and are
being held in the Perry County Jail on the following charges:
- Vijay Billingsley, distribution of a controlled substance;
- Christopher Collins, distribution of a controlled substance;
- Russlin Ford, distribution of a controlled substance;
- Devron Green, distribution of a controlled substance;
- Traci Green, distribution of a controlled substance;
- Timothy Hawkins, distribution of a controlled substance;
- Tony Hogan, distribution of a controlled substance;
- Jerry Moore, distribution of a controlled substance;
- Terrance Shaw, distribution of a controlled substance;
- Jeffrey Tubbs, trafficking of a controlled substance;
- Teosha Woods, conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.
The distribution crimes are class B felonies punishable by two to 20 years
imprisonment and the trafficking charge is a class A felony punishable by 10 years to
life imprisonment.

Attorney General Strange commended all those involved in this operation,
noting in particular Assistant Attorney General Andrew Arrington and Special Agents
of his Investigations Division. He also thanked District Attorney Michael Jackson and
