AG STRANGE, DA BAILEY TO HOLD MISSING PERSONS SEMINAR
FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT AND FAMILIES FEBRUARY 9 IN MONTGOMERY
Deadline to Register is February 4
(MONTGOMERY) -Attorney General Luther Strange and Montgomery District
Attorney Daryl Bailey, together with OutReach Auburn Montgomery and the Alabama
Crime Prevention Clearinghouse and Training Institute, will hold a seminar called
Training and Resources for Missing Persons Investigation. The event will be held from
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, at 223 Taylor Center-Multipurpose Room,
Auburn University Montgomery, 7740 East Drive, Montgomery, Alabama 36117.
The daylong conference is free and provides 6.25 hours of APOST training for
law enforcement officers, with an afternoon session offering support and resources
for families of missing persons. Families are invited to bring police reports,
investigative leads, dental and medical records, as well as family members who may
provide DNA to develop a DNA profile, and will be able to make official reports and
enter their person into a missing persons database.
The deadline for registration is Thursday, February 4. The contact for law

Note: The morning and afternoon sessions are for law enforcement; The
afternoon session from 1 to 4 is for families.

Note to press: Attorney General Strange will make opening remarks at 8:35 a.m.

training part of the event is not open to the press.
