Safe Schools Initiative

I am pleased to invite your school to apply for the 2026 Alabama Safe Schools Initiative Awards. These awards provide an opportunity to identify and recognize Alabama schools that demonstrate excellence, innovation, and effective practices in school safety.

The online application process opens Monday, August 3, 2026. The deadline to submit your application and upload your school’s Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) for the Phase One evaluation is Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
